I figured it had headed off that way, once the consist was modified to include a Renaissance dining set, but that's a particularly nifty bit of coincidence.

On my cross Canada trip two years ago, my diner from Toronto to Vancouver was "Acadian", a common east coast visitor (appropriately so) that I had eaten in on a number of occasions on #14/15. It's a neat thing to encounter the same car in different contexts - Acadian felt like a whole different creature when operating on #1, and I'm sure Empress had a different flair when you dined in it in June, than it did here. Amazing versatility!TimHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00432213761954945224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8418509564641611370.post-73706371305464037942019-09-03T10:00:13.485-03:002019-09-03T10:00:13.485-03:00Always happy to have you along for the ride, Eric!...Always happy to have you along for the ride, Eric! It's not an ideal place to plug in if you're just using the short charging cord for a phone or similar, especially if you're not going to be on hand to keep an eye on it the whole while it is charging! Because I use a CPAP machine, I run an electrical cord from the outlet to berth #2. I share this source of power with my fellow companions in other berths and they charge phones etc while my machine runs through the night. It's not perfect, but it's an option.
